See amusing faces with Faces in Places

Have you ever noticed that an inanimate object or collection of inanimate objects look remarkably like a face? You’re not alone. In fact, they’re spotted so often and by so many people that a blog has been set up which showcases the best faces from around the world. You can even submit your own to help like-minded people giggle at a picture of a belt buckle, mop, or toothbrush holder. Faces in Places supplies pictures of all the strange-looking faces made by objects you could ever want.

Why work when you could laugh at a mop which resembles a woman?

Why work when you could laugh at a mop which resembles an angry woman?

This will be a relatively short article, since there’s not a huge amount I can say about this website. It showcases a number of images of objects, buildings, or arrangements of the two which resemble faces. These are submitted by various different people to the custom Flickr feed which showcases the images in one location. The best of these are then picked to be shown on the Faces in Places blog, where captions are added which make them even more amusing than they already were (if that’s possible). The archives date all the way back to Spring 2007, so there’s years’ worth of faces to keep you amused on those long boring days when you should be doing something more productive.

If you feel like contributing images to this worthy cause you can submit them to the aforementioned Flickr feed for a chance to have them viewed by thousands of people as easily amused as you and I. Remember, next time you spot a face when you’re out and about, get your camera out and take a snap, because other equally odd people would like to enjoy viewing it. I love this – it certainly brought a smile to my face – knowing there are other people as mad as me. Thanks for bringing us this.
